Attorney Qiana Murphy Lehman elected Bar Association president

Judges and lawyers of the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library – Luzerne County Bar Association recently elected Atty. Qiana Murphy Lehman as the 56th Bar President for a 2026/27 two-year term. She succeeds Attorney Cheryl Sobeski-Reedy in the role. Atty. Lehman is the principal owner of Lehman Law, PC, a full-service criminal and civil litigation law firm in Kingston, PA.

The Bar Association is one of the oldest in the country, dating back to 1850, having celebrated its 175th Anniversary last year.

It maintains the Hon. Max Rosenn Memorial Law Library in the Luzerne County Courthouse, produces the weekly Luzerne Legal Register publication, has a lawyer referral service and a separate nonprofit, charitable foundation to benefit the community.

In addition, it hosts continuing legal education seminars and special events for its members. The Wilkes-Barre Law Library is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Qiana Murphy Lehman, Esquire of Lehman Law, P.C. has been elected by her peers to the office of Vice President for the Wilkes Barre Law and Library Association for a two year term. When she completes her two year term, she is scheduled to succeed to the office of President.

Lawyers Donate to Paint Pittston Pink

The Luzerne County Bar Association Charitable Foundation Inc., the charitable arm of the county bar association, presented a donation grant to Paint Pittston Pink. Paint Pittston Pink is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the raising of funds to end breast cancer and, through research and clinical trials, all cancer. Paint Pittston Pink was co-founded by Barbara Sciandra and attorney Qiana Murphy Lehman. Over the last two years, Paint Pittston Pink has raised over $80,000. Attorney Qiana Murphy Lehman Earns Felony Acquittal

Attorney Lehman earned an acquittal in a Felony Sexual Assault case in Luzerne County. Following a three day trial in June, Attorney Lehman , convinced 12 jurors that her client was not guilty of the charge of sexual assault. The incident, which occurred in August of 2013, involved the false accusation of date rape between two individuals who had met on Match. com. What an excellent outcome on such a difficult case.
